Glory Beyond the Sport: Wrestling and the Military
Published on behalf of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame, 2009

"Glory" started when a group of motivated military veterans approached the NWHOF with the idea of honoring veterans who were also wrestlers.

Roger Moore was approached to author this book not only because of his passion for and knowledge of wrestling, but because of his own military service in the deserts of Iraq and Kuwait during Operation Desert Storm.

With contributions from Jay Hammond, Jamie Moffatt, and Don Sayenga, Moore created a written tribute to several wrestling greats who also served their country in the U.S. Armed Forces.

Features:
  • Wrestling history in the military
  • Presidents who wrestled
  • Major General Kenneth Leuer
  • Donald Rumsfeld
  • The Dole Twins
  • Doug Blubaugh
  • Danny Hodge
  • Tom Norris
  • Doug Zembiec
  • Many, many more

"Glory Beyond the Sport: Wrestling and the Military" is available for purchase from the National Wrestling Hall of Fame and Museum.
